Greetings dear ones. We
wish to share with you a different paradigm for
doing business, for accomplishing joyfully,
effortlessly and easily your life’s work,
whatever that might be. For many of you are
finding the need to understand working in a new
way. Some believe that there must be a lot of
activity and struggle. We point out that the
word business, can be seen as what it really is
“busy-ness.” For those who choose to live in the
land of business, and become busy people, that
is exactly what they become. We have a choice to
live in whichever “land” we want to see, no
choice is better than the other, it is just a
choice.
Those people who wish to
adopt a more spiritual approach to work/play
often find that when they desire to make the
change, they are confused as to how this works,
and the practical application. They understand
that they cannot sit in meditation 24/7 and have
money suddenly “materializing” in their laps. Or
at least most people cannot do this easily. So
they find themselves running around in busy-ness
again wondering how to get out.
So much of a spiritual
life revolves around reflection, whether it be
meditation, yoga, relaxing to music or whatever
brings joy in the moment. We would say that what
is important is not necessarily what you do, but
from what “inner place” you are doing it. This
is where the inner reflection, the being-ness is
essential. And so instead of talking about
busy-ness we will talk about being-ness. This is
what makes work so fulfilling, not just
financially. It is being-ness with a full heart.
One of the down sides of
busi-ness is that it is usually done
disconnected from the self. And that means often
that one goes to work and is one person, then
comes home to their “real life” and feels like
they can finally be themselves. When one is in
being-ness it becomes difficult and unnecessary
to make the separation. One just is. It may take
a while to let go of the expectation/belief that
one has to be perpetually busy and forcing/efforting
in order to become abundant.
Take, for example, the
start of the day for many people. From the
moment they get up, they are getting ready for
their day. They may grab breakfast on the way to
work if they have time. Many people are working
as soon as they wake up, not having time for
reflection at all, just trying to get things
done from their “personal life” or trying to get
to work. After work they come home too tired or
wound up for their Selves to get much attention.
Or they become involved in more driven-type
activities. It can be so scary to just be,
especially when you do not know who you will
find in there.
Or perhaps, you say, you
would love to just be all the time, but then how
will things get done? This is a game we play
with ourselves because it is actually a clever
disguise for fear of being. For once you choose
the state of being, you can easily “take it with
you” because it is you. That does not mean you
can engage in perpetual busy-ness. The
being-ness needs your commitment to renewal, to
reflection. After a while you will be able to
heed the messages that come when it is time for
balance. And believe us, if you meditate 24/7
for too long, you will get signs that it is time
to be more active. Our bodies/minds/spirits are
designed to balance. If you are accustomed to
reflection, you will be able to easily know when
you are out of balance and what you are needing
to re-balance. This is about learning to trust
your wisdom, the wisdom of the oneness, or what
some might call universal laws.
A spiritual practice is a
being-ness with the universal laws. From this
paradigm, work is just part of the mixture. It
is letting go of the definitions, the boundaries
between work and everything else, between you
and everything/everyone else. Why is it that
many spiritual people feel comfortable with
their spiritual practice or their personal life
but experience so much anxiety around their
life’s work? We encourage you to let go of the
boundaries/expectations/outdated thoughtforms.
What you will find is your Self.
Welcome to the being-ness
world!
All is love,
